However, bringing up a green baby is not a simple task. If you do not aim for this, you can just breeze through the store’s shelf and you already have what your baby needs. Giving up on your advocacy can be tempting. Just think of what is good for your child and his surroundings and you will be inspired to hold on.

What is tough is the adjustment. This is after you have just decided on buying only non-toxic and organic products for your child. Keep in mind that this is not only for you baby. You are making the world he is living in healthier for him. Therefore, you must avoid what can damage the environment and choose stuff similar to organic toys.

Shopping in a department store for green baby products may just lead you dead ends. It is also unwise to read each of the labels because it is time-consuming. Ask for a sales representative’s help and you may be directed to these stocks.

With these, you will be comforted that your green baby uses only the safest things. When these are no longer usable, you can easily throw these into your garbage, assured that you will not add up to the world’s tons of solid pollutants.

Online shopping is a hundred time more convenient than going to a mall. You do not spend gas and it takes just a few minutes. Searching for anything environmentally safe such as organic toys is not a problem there. Having a baby on your while you browse is less work compared to pushing a stroller in a department store aisle.

Using Safe Pesticides For Your Home

It is a well known fact that the use of pesticides is a huge health issue. With that in mind people are still using these unhealthy products each and every day, to the tune of a billion pounds a year of dangerous pesticides being used on our food and around our homes.

Now everybody knows that foods that are in the grocery stores has been washed before they arrive at the store. And many people will still wash there fruits and veggies after they but them. However there are still trace pesticides that are being consumed from these fruits and vegetables, which are causing health issues.

These pesticides are also causing health problems with the farmers and there workers. Every year there are over 10,000 pesticide related illnesses reported, and this is only the ones that have been reported. Even the EPA says that this is becoming a major issue.

Even though farmers and other people who work on farms have more than there share of pesticide related illnesses, peoples pets have even more. According to the Animal Poison Control Center, there are over 30 thousand reports every year of pet poisoning from pesticides.

I am sure you have done this once or twice yourself. You walk out into your driveway and see grass or weeds growing up through the blacktop. So you either run to the kitchen and grab your weed killer from under the sink or you go to the nearest store to buy some and you start spraying it around.

One would think that the government would step in and create laws to help regulate pesticides even more. Now it is bad enough that these pesticides are harmful to people and animals, but what about our planet. These chemicals contaminate the air, water and soil. Which means that not only people and there pets are effected, but also insects that we need like honeybee’s and ladybugs. And if you have well water… these pesticides can seep into your well.

Of course we do need to get rid of pest in and around our home but there are organic options that work just as well and in some cases even better.
